Carolyn Smith's Ben Nevis Challenge

Saturday 13th June 2015

My name is Carolyn Smith and back in 2008 I was involved in a car crash which damaged my spine and legs, after a long road to recovery and a mental break down I decided I wanted to do something useful from a bad experience, so I decided to walk mountains and in 2013 I walked Mount Snowdon.

In January 2014 I was diagnosed with Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, its life threatening and incurable.

I also love to walk and explore in the peak district.

My next mountain was Scafell Pike in June 2014, nothing will stop me walking mountains even with injuries and now a disease, so on the 13th June 2015 I walked Ben Nevis for Annabelle’s Challenge and raised a massive £1087.50
